March,1990: This extraordinary story of thirteen masterpieces by Degas, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Degas and Manet, worth an estimated $600 million were stolen from Boston's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The stolen paintings have never been recovered. Their empty gilded frames still hang on the museum walls in their original spots.
